Description
The USB 3.0 VGA Display Adapter from j5create allows you to add a second monitor to your setup. The adapter functions as an external video card, allowing you to attach additional displays using a VGA connection without an involved setup or installing additional internal hardware. The adapter supports up to four displays running on the same Windows computer or up to two Mac displays. Use the second monitor with an extended display, mirrored display, rotational display (Windows only), or make it the primary monitor. I have 2 of these and they work flawlessly. When you want to add a second monitor, to a Windows PC, this gizmo works very nicely. Both PCs, on which this adapter is used, are fairly new (less than 2 years old, running Windows 7) and both have USB 3.0 ports, so there doesn’t appear to be any performance issues, though I cannot vouch for older, USB 2.0 machines. The adapter is a bit pricey, but after trying & returning two alternative adaters that were less expensive, but simply didn’t work, this is working bargain.
