Designed for servers, point-of-sale, routers, switches, hubs, and other network devices, the SMT750RM2UNC Smart-UPS Battery Backup & Surge Protector with Network Card from APC delivers intelligent and efficient network power protection from entry level to scalable runtime. Thanks to a preinstalled AP9631 network management card, you’ll be able to remotely manage this UPS over your network, right out of the box. The SMT750RM2UNC can provide up to 5.5 minutes of runtime at its full load of 500W or up to 16.1 minutes of runtime at its half load of 250W.
This Smart-UPS features an output of 500W / 750 VA, a NEMA 5-15P input connection with an 8′ cord, an input of 120V @ 50/60 Hz ±3 Hz, six NEMA 5-15R battery backup outlets, a surge energy rating of 459 joules, line interactive topology, and a sine waveform. Included PowerChute Network Shutdown management software helps to provide unattended, yet proper shutdowns of network operating systems, and also included are rack-mount support rails, a temperature probe, and a USB cable. Support is provided by a limited 3-year repair or replace warranty that excludes the battery, as well as a limited 2-year battery warranty and a limited lifetime $150,000 equipment protection policy.
APC SmartConnect makes the Smart-UPS more adaptable and easier to deploy, enabling you to view the status of your UPS through a secure web portal. Through this remote management interface, you’ll receive automatic notifications, firmware updates, and advanced support.

I have a single tower PC w/ large power supply, a few small things like hubs, smart home bridges, etc., on it and it runs smoothly when everything is on. When I first plugged it in, it off-gassed a lot! For about a day or two, the room smelled like something died under the house. Left the window open and soon things were back to normal. I have the Ethernet card in it so I can share it for shutdown. It turns out that was not strictly necessary, as my NAS could have plugged in via USB and then it served as the UPS server for other things. If you have a NAS, check out if it can shutdown your other things if connected via USB.
