Level up your entertainment experience with the ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQL1A 27″ 16:9 170 Hz Adaptive-Sync QHD IPS Gaming Monitor. Designed to deliver immersive experiences, this 27″ monitor features a 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution with 170 Hz refresh rate and a 1 ms response time (MPRT) for fast and silky-smooth game graphics with minimal motion blur. Additionally, the monitor supports both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync adaptive sync technologies, which help to reduce stuttering, screen tearing, and motion blur during fast action games when connected to a compatible graphics card. Its In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel supports up to 1.07 billion colors with VESA DisplayHDR 400-certified high-dynamic range, covering 130% of the sRGB and 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamuts, which are designed to provide vivid and lifelike color to images. Other features include a 400 cd/m² brightness and a 1000:1 static contrast ratio.
Devices connect to the monitor through its DisplayPort 1.2 and two HDMI 2.0 inputs. Its integrated 2W stereo speakers allow you to enjoy music, videos, and games without having to clutter your desk with external speakers. Alternatively, you can to connect headphones to the 3.5mm audio jack. There is also a convenient 2-port USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A hub built into the monitor that allows you to quickly connect peripherals such as flash drives and transfer data at up to 5 Gb/s. In addition to being able to rotate the screen 90° to view documents in portrait mode, you can adjust the screen’s height, tilt and swivel to optimize comfort. With its 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, you’ll be able to see the picture from almost any position. You can also install the monitor onto a wall or compatible arm using the 100 x 100mm VESA mounting holes.

I bought this to upgrade from my 24 1920×1080 monitor, super pleased so far. If you haven’t had a monitor this large before it seems huge at first, but the extra space is incredibly useful for multitasking. The switch from 1080 to 1440 resolution is not as noticeable, but still nice. The finish appears matte straight-on with a slight gloss visible only from the sides. I like this actually, as there is no glare at all and I forget it is not fully matte until I get up from my desk. Battlefield 1 and Elden Ring look gorgeous on this screen, the color is great for gaming, web browsing, and general work. Highly recommend if you don’t need 4K or Adobe RGB coverage.
