The design of this wrist rest is excellent and far exceeds most others available on the market. While created for Azio’s retro line of keyboards, it will provide an excellent compliment to most black or grey-colored desk hardware. The pad is very firm and would not be appropriate for anyone seeking a gel-like experience, but the finish of the leather (while probably thin) has a nice initial touch and the rest has undoubtedly enhanced the ergonomics of my typing experience. Unfortunately, while the design is excellent, the construction is lacking. The rest lacks any real heft, to the point that if you lift it up, you might wonder if you are holding anything at all. Anti-slip feet do help it from sliding; however, not entirely so. Heavy-handed users take note, as it doesn’t take much to push it out of position. The biggest drawback is the plastic base, which on my unit, is flimsy to the point that rest bows slightly upward in the center. This is plainly cheap construction on an otherwise excellent rest and really prevents this from being a five star item.
