I bought my PnP almost two years ago and have printed 8 cartridges and it just worked perfectly. Now it has not been turned on for 14 days and is completely dead. A new battri costs almost the same as the machine and I know it is a general problem known to dealers. Mine is purchased in Europe, where there is a two-year warranty, but no help from the dealer on the battery part. Beware!

The software is slow (and terrible). The hardware is slow. It is inexplicably battery powered. When the battery gives up, it costs almost as much as a new unit. DO NOT BUY.

I live in Chile, and i bought this product 2 years ago, it works fine for a year, then the battery started failing. I did’nt print 1 roll i those 2 years. Now the battery did’nt work and you can’t use it “if the battery is not charged”. Please don’t waste your money in this product

The battery in my LabelManager worked for about 2 years. Instead of buying a new very expensive original replacement battery i just bought a standard rechargable 9V battery (6LR61, 6LF22 or PP3). The battery plus side should be far inside in the LabelManager (look at the original battery where plus and minus are). The LabelManager wount break if you accedenty mount the battery the wrong way, I have tested… 20 mm foam rubber will hold the new battery in place.

Not sure which is worst between the software and the hardware. It’s a race to the bottom for sure. I’ve had this for about over a year and its battery is dead which makes this product useless. The software is ridiculously disappointing.

This worked great until I got my Mac upgraded. Now when I open v8 I get a notification that needs to run Add Network Printer Utility, and then it doesn’t detect it. Can’t use it at all anymore.

I got a Dymo Manager PnP. On the instruction on Dymo’s web site the instructions clearly says this (https://www.dymo.com/en-CA/labelmanager-pnp-label-maker): “…With the LabelManager PnP label maker, there’s no software to install – just plug it into your PC or Mac* and you’re ready to create great-looking labels as fast as you can type….” I plugged it in and nothing happened. So I called Contact Us, waited for answer, and was told I have to install an app called DYMO Label Software v8.7.3, Windows. Then the instructions lied again about setting margins on printing from the device itself. Why do instruction writers always lie? A task which should only takes me 1 minute to do took me 30 minutes. Instruction writers suck!

Loved this when I first purchased but now… I have purchased 3 of these units over the course of the last couple of years. Originally one for work and one for home. Got a third one after the battery stopped charging-guess I should have read the reviews before buying another. Now I have 3 junk units to dispose of and a whole pile of unused D1 cassettes. Not shelling out $$ to replace a battery at about the same price that I paid for the original unit.
