The elgato works for 30 seconds then turns to a black screen. Ive spent hours trying to get it to work but nothing is working. Elgato has nothing that helps with this issue as well. This company is just taking money from people. I know hundreds of people with this issue and nobody knows what to do.

HD60 is easy to setup when you know what you’re doing. Great quality product and only thing I’m hoping they would do in the future is a capture card with multiple inputs.

I have had the HD60s for a little over a week and WOW!!! Firstly, the design is sleek and stylishly small. Very easy to tie in with any streaming setup effortlessly. As for use, This product is so easy to use that saying “plug in and play” doesn’t seem to do it justice. The software turns even your average streamer like myself into a much more professional looking streamer. Yes there are other capture cards on the market, but Elgato screams quality! Now down to the most important piece of information about the Elgato HD60s, the amount of support you receive with this product is totally unheard of!! From the unbelievably friendly streaming community to Elgato themselves, you will never be left with any unanswered questions. The HD60s is100% an 11/10 from me. I can not recommend it enough, I am already saving up for my next piece of Elgato equipment.

I bought this 2 days ago and it still hasn’t connected, it says i need the right usb, when i does get signal it loses it in like 2 minutes. I haven’t been able to record for more than 30 seconds before a problem happens, and it’s not the laptop, it’s core i7. These needs to be better cause there’s no way I’m spending almost 200 for some that doesn’t work. This is ridiculous. And it’s not only me, they’re so many videos on how to fix it, non of them work

I previously had an HD60 that I borrowed from a friend and immediately looked for other options with lower latency. I didn’t want the hassle of changing inputs on my TV or plugging several cables in and out just to play my consoles. Luckily, the HD60s was my saving grace. Nearly zero latency in OBS for when I want to monitor my gameplay while I stream or for when I just want to play from the preview screen. No unnecessary frills or features, just the basics are here and that’s all I need. My only minor nitpicks with the card is that the audio can suddenly decreased in quality when booting up OBS for the first time which results in audio desync, but a quick deactivate/activate cycle fixes that. The design of the card is great overall but the two HDMI ports being on opposite ends gets a bit awkward in terms of cable management. I would prefer them to be on the same side as the USB port or together on one side with the USB port on the other. Overall, thee HD60s has the features I need and it gets the job done. And hey, I have many other options from Elgato if I ever upgrade in the future!

I got the HD60s and it won’t work. I’ve spent hours on the internet trying solutions. I also spent more time doing 30 minute separated calls to the “support” number where no one ever answers. Honestly the product can be replicated by other companies but the service at Elgato has been horrible.

Upgrading from the Elgato Gaming HD, which only did 720 @ 60 if you were playing at 720p. Can now record at 1080p 60 and stream at 720p simultaneously using OBS. Great product, no issues, highly recommend it for your capture / streaming needs.

I really wanted to like this, and when it works, it works okay, but not great. The sound software wanted to take over my system and not allow me to switch back to my internal sound card when not using the capture card. The result was that you tube would be muted after each commercial. The pass through video to the TV was fuzzy some times, but did not affect recording quality. The live streaming was cool, and worked as expected, maybe even better than expected. Had some issues recording chat as part of the stream or recorded content from the Xbox. Ordering the chat cable to try and resolve this. I feel that should have been included, otherwise the recorded video is only game play..kinda boring. Overall I would give it 3.5 stars because of: 1. Not including the ability to record commentary /chat as part of the units abilities. 2. Somewhat fuzzy pass through to TV, not recording. 3. Sound card hijacking when not using the capture card. The good. Video recorded quality was good. Small in size (would have been nice to have a travel case) Other products tried: Avermedia Game Capture HD 2, it is larger, but records internally, works without glitches, but you need a hard drive to put inside it. The newer Avermedia live gamer portable 2 would probably be my capture card of choice if I were to do it over again. It is both small, and records to SD cards, so no worry about filling up my computer hard drive. It is more standalone, and seems to have an easier chat integration without needing other items. Downside is it cost a little more.

I purchased my elgato and it sat on my desk for months. I followed the instructions and my PC is compatible. I had constant audio issues in terms of connecting it to my stream. Ive finally figured things out, after almost 5 months of it sitting there. I still have some minor audio issues, but its bareable. I would still recommend it. Itsthe most HD and simple way of getting your game up and streaming. I do wish it was easier to get help setting things up

Simply put, this is an amazing tool for streaming. It is nearly plug and play which takes the headache out of streaming and recording. You can easily switch between devices (PS4, Xbox One, Switch, etc.) and is compact enough to not get in the way of anything. Highly recommended for someone wanting to start out streaming or recording game play, it is a HUGE step up from the built in streaming solutions that consoles have.

I have spent over 3 days just trying to get the audio on my pc to record, no matter what I do doesn’t record the in game audio. I do exactly as the videos and tutorials tell me and nothing works. I was told to uninstall and reinstall the software and now it won’t allow me to save onto my D drive anymore. NOT user friendly and I am out of my money.

Currently using MacOS 10.14.4, iMac 5K 2015 The device works well for capturing video/game footage (including audio) to files, or for streaming. Captured game footage looks smooth and audio sounds good. Also works well for viewing HDMI output from small devices such as Raspberry Pis and other devices without screens. If this is the only purpose then Elgato Camlink 4K also works well, is cheaper, more compact, and also works with Quicktime, Skype and other webcam apps. The reason to specifically get the HD 60 S is for capturing games while sending the HDMI output to a TV or monitor while playing lag-free. I dont recommend trying to play games via the preview window in the Game Capture HD software app. The HD 60 S is advertised as having very low preview lag but there is still too much lag to play games and the video preview is a bit jerky and not smooth. Therefore my recommendation is to stick to the recommended setup – use the device to capture/stream footage on a computer, but for playing connect the HDMI OUT from the HD 60 S to a TV or monitor. The dream of using this device to play games on a laptop while away from a TV will not come true with this device (or any other USB device Im aware of). A few issues I ran into: * Sometimes have had to quit and restart the app Game Capture HD to fix an issue with garbled audio * Believe Ive had to unplug/replug the device into USB on a few occasions to get it to show up again in the Game Capture HD app. Generally not an issue

I’ve had this capture card for 3 years now and its been really great! You have control over many aspects of the image etc. in the software and you can add overlays. Its seemless.
