We have a couple of different brands of stands and this one has by far the nicest build but we immediately wished it included a couple of additional features. I should point out we are using this as a projector stand so our reservations may not apply in your case. The two splayed legs have little wheels that allow you to turn the laptop, which is nice, but it would be even nicer if there were a way to lock them. In our projector scenario a little nudge goes a long way. The unit, as far as I can tell, doesn’t have a way to lock it in the down position so not ideal if you plan to travel with it or store it. Last item probably won’t affect most laptop users: the surface plate is slightly too small for the Epson 1224 projectors we use so the back leveling adjustment wheels hang over the side. I’m going to fix that with a ruler but given that the mfr decided to add those ears on either side of the surface plate they could have just made the whole thing bigger.
