Show off your build with the windowed Focus G Mid-Tower Case in gunmetal gray from Fractal Design. Intended to provide ample space and airflow for your components, this ATX mid-tower case supports ATX, micro-ATX, and mini-ITX motherboards. In addition to two external 5.25″ bays, this case also sports two internal 2.5/3.5″ bays, plus an additional 2.5″ mount behind the motherboard tray. Seven expansion slots are also included. In addition to GPUs up to 14.96″, this case also fits CPU coolers and ATX power supplies up to 6.5 and 9.06″, respectively.
Two Silent Series LL 120mm fans with white LEDs come preinstalled, and users can increase airflow by mounting up to four additional fans on the top, bottom, and rear for intake and exhaust. Or, thanks to support for liquid cooling systems, you can install radiators on the top, front, and rear of the case. In its default configuration, this case will accept radiators up to 240mm, but users can fit a 280mm radiator by removing the bottom 5.25″ external drive bay. Dust filters are present on the top, bottom, and front of the case. Featuring a steel case and windowed side panel, this case also provides 0.71 to 0.98″ of space behind the motherboard for cable management. A front I/O panel includes single USB 3.1 Gen 1 and USB 2.0 Type-A ports, as well as separate 3.5mm ports for audio in and audio out. Power and reset buttons are also present.

Overall, I like this case. It’s inexpensive, and if you’re really looking for inexpensive, this is the case to buy. It fits ATX mobos, has two external drive bays, which are hard to find in a case these days – great it you really do still want a CD/DVD/Blu-Ray drive and a USB/Card-Reader hub. It also has a removal hard drive cage that fits two drives. It comes with two fans, has room for 3 more, and has plenty of holes for ventilation and cable routing. The colors are nice too. That said, the case if very tight. It fits ATX mobos and smaller ones too, but for ATX boards, you are truly at the edge of what this case can handle. It really needs to be an inch taller and deeper to have room for the ATX, to fit a liquid cooler radiator top-mounted. Even though the provided pamphlet shows that you can mount the radiator at the top, you really can’t. It would obstruct pins on the motherboard and the external drive bays. Radiators must be installed front-mounted, behind the built-in fans. While this is a good case, the metal is thick-enough, but barely. The see-through side is polycarbonate plastic, and the front of the case, while removable (for example, to install a front-mounted radiator or external drives), is not a hinged door – you need to pull it with some force. There is extra metal obstructing one of the external bays that you need to break off in order to use it, and there really should be a little more metal around the front fan assembly. The position of the top fan holes are too far forward, and should be moved back 1.75 because otherwise the fans, if installed, would obstruct the top external drive bay. There are also headphone and mic ports on the top of the case, power & reset buttons, and a USB-2 and a USB-3 port. Really though, both of these should have been the latest USB 3.2 ports, which of course, are backward compatible with USB-3 and USB-2. Want to make my day? Put FOUR of them up there – there’s room for plenty more! So, like I said, it’s a good, inexpensive case, and with a few design tweaks, it could be much better. If you don’t have hundreds to spend on a full tower, and don’t mind the design detail issues mentioned above, this case is a good buy.

Perfect for those of us who still have to use not so new devices and also the latest, it fits everything I need to use DVD drives, 5.25 and 2.5 HDDs, as well as SSDs. It has good and quiet ventilation. Maybe it’s just missing a USB C on the front

Love the color. Overall it is OK but some things I overlooked. 1. 1 USB2 and 1 USB3 on the front panel. Place to mount SSD next to the PSU is horrible. You have to remove the PSU to get at the screws that hold the ssd in. The HDD area has flimsy plastic trays to mount the HDD in the cage. I am not a lights in the box user, will have to figure out how to disconnect the white leds that are standard on the fans. I will have to buy usb panel and trayless hot swap for the front access panels.

The case arrived earlier than I expected. B&H ships quite fast when they have the item in stock. This particular case is exactly what I was looking for to build my first PC. Many places did not have the red version in stock, and this listing was still affordable and around the same price as others I found. The case was packaged well. The instructions were a bit confusing but once I figured out where everything goes, it was simple to assemble all the pieces in the case. There’s more than enough room to work in the case also.
