This display employs IPS panel technology, a 60 Hz refresh rate, a 4 ms GtG response time with Overdrive, and more. The IPS (In-Plane Switching) panel affords wide viewing angles of 178°, so content can be viewed from almost any direction, while a refresh rate of 60 Hz means that the display refreshes 60 times per second for smoother motion. A response time of 4 ms means color changes will be virtually imperceptible. Lastly, coverage for 100% of the sRGB and 93% of the DCI-P3 gamuts delivers a wider color space and more lifelike images.
HP’s U28 has been built using an anti-glare panel, a native resolution of 3840 x 2160, 8-bit support for 16.7 million colors, a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio, a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, a dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000,000:1, 400 cd/m2 brightness, a 3H hardness rating, 157 ppi, one HDMI 2.0 inputs, one DisplayPort 1.2 input, one 5 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port that supports 65W of power and DisplayPort 1.2, and three 5 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports. To further help improve viewing and accessibility, the display features a vertical tilt of -5 to 23°, a swivel of ±35°, a -90° pivot, a height adjustment of 4.7″, and a 100 x 100mm VESA mount.
