   I had to replace the “compatible” 305 black toner cartridge with the HP original cartridge because the “compatible” one was printing black horizontal lines across the entire sheet of paper when I was really only printing in color (labels with orange and green print). When I replaced the “compatible” cartridge with the original HP one, I didn’t see one black line on the paper. I am all about saving money when I can; however, I am convinced that “compatible do not work in my printer – or at least I haven’t found the right manufacturer. It would be nice if HP would offer better deals on 305 toner cartridges (black and color) since they are so expensive! I pay more for 4 cartridges than I paid for the printer itself!
