This 454dn is an excellent laserjet printer. It replaces my CP3505 printer. It prints faster and with slightly better quality. the only gliche was that HP recommended the wrong driver. On my Windows 10 computer the only driver that would work was the Universal PCL 6. HP mistakenly recommended the Easy Start 123. This cost me and tech support two days of headaches finding the proper driver

I wish I could go back in time and convince myself not to buy this printer. Actually, you know what, if I had that ability I’d go back and infiltrate HP’s headquarters and make this printer not an absolute piece of junk. I run a small stationery shop and print large orders on high end expensive paper. This printer just ruins papers. It has wireless abilities that cut out halfway through a print job and you have to restart the printing with a wired connection. It also misprints just about every 4th page, wasting two sheets in the process. It also NEVER prints the correct number of pages, its consistently short or way over. Once, it just kept printing and printing and printing, I submitted 85 sheets and it printed 104, and would have kept printing if I didn’t remove the paper. Do you need to print something that isn’t 8.5×11? Good luck, it’ll always be crooked or jammed. This printer constantly jams, like every other sheet, both in the feed and in the back, which wastes more and more paper. Also, as a fun bonus, it sometimes will continue to tell you it’s jammed even though it isn’t and there’s nothing you can do to fix it. Overall just avoid this, buy literally anything else, learn calligraphy, send smoke signals, train a pigeon to deliver handwritten messages; do anything but buy this printer.
