This has everything but the very top of the line features, for a price just barely above the home use types. The cables don’t run over UTP, so no connections over any distance greater than 10 feet, but if you’ve got a single server rack that you want a rack mounted KVM in, I know I’m happy with this one.

I bought this switch to replace both an older Dell switch that supported only PS/2 connections and a newer StarTech switch that supported USB but only had 4 ports. As newer server came in the didn’t supply PS/2 connections, I needed something that supported USB and had decent screen resolution. This did the trick. We use it with Windows Server 2003 (going away), 2008R2, XenServer 6.1, Windows 7, and a security camera system. Connections were straightforward and all the cabling was supplied with the kit. Rack mounting and connections were all easily done.
