(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The ThinkPad UltraSlim USB DVD burner works well with Windows 10; it is truly plug-and-play. The included CD contains the manual and DVD player and burner software. It is a light and portable unit with a nicely designed, integrated USB cable. If you have an older PC with only USB 2, an included adapter will allow you to use two USB ports to get enough power to the drive (a common strategy for external USB hard drives, as well).

DVD drive serves it purpose since it is no longer built into laptop I purchased. It is a bit flimsy as it is pretty thin but so far no issues.

Although I would prefer my DVD drive be builtin, this feature was not available with my new P51s. This drive is slim and light and functions perfectly. It w as also affordable.

Now I can play my CDs and DVDs! I couldn’t do that on my new computer! It is easy to use and takes up little space. I love it!

I don’t know if 5-star mean exceptional product since this is a plain DVD/CD driver. And it just works. The design is nice and sleek. But the sharp corner doesn’t match my Yoga 900 ultrabook. What I really like is the cable which came with the drive. It is a split with one male and one female USB port.

When using this DVD burner to convert my elementary school memory DVD into an MP4 video, I have to say that it decrypted the DVD into an MP4 really well. Ever since I noticed the video quality, I would give it a 5-star rating. The reason to why I give it a 4-star rating is that I find it hard to watch DVDs in the Movies and TV application on my laptop. Overall, I absolutely will definitely recommend this hardware drive for anyone that too in the digital age when you want to digitize your DVDs in the cloud or on your computer then this is a must.

Burner works well, dont really need for work with everything done over Internet. Was nice when already built into computer so did not have to haul around, but again, not needed as much.

Pretty easy to setup. Nice to have a CD/DVD player/burner since laptops don’t offer it much anymore

Good buy. Easy to carry with you. Miss it not being internal, though. I also wish that there had bee an easier way to figure out the cord that came with it. That required going on line to Lenovo and hunting for a REAL user manual. Would it have hurt to mention something in the paper work that came with the drive?
