Nice product with easy setup and a nice suite of software. Initially it wouldnt play a Blu-Ray disk but after updating the software it played perfectly. The drive is also very quiet compared to others Ive used.

My unit had a few issues. – It seems to be scratching discs. One of my Blu-Ray movie discs got concentric hairline scratches and I’m now getting read errors. Very likely disc is touching either the lens or something else inside when spinning. – Burning a BD-R SL worked, but reading it back was very slow, about 1MB/s, which is less than 1x. That is not even good enough for HD playback. Also, after burning, the disc had the scratches I mentioned above. – Reading a BV-MV was also slow, about 12MB/s, which is way below 4x. It should have been 6x. I guess you could say it was defective, but if it damages discs, it’s bad enough for one star.

Drive quality seems good. Software endlessly pushes ads to purchase upgrade NOT! pleasant to use. Illogically put together. Sooooooo, you have to purchase different software. No longer a bargain…

Takes everything I throw at it, runs quickly, has an impressively small profile, couldn’t be happier!
