I have a 10 DVD and 7 DVD duplicator. First, the 7 DVD duplicator has a switch in the back that you MUST change from 110v to 220v if you are in a 220v country. I assumed this device was like most computers and power supplies these days and plugged in while switched on 110v and blew my first power supply. Customer support from Microboards on the website was non-existent. I sent several emails and did not get a message back. Finally I called from overseas and the phone assistance was good. The first agent I talked to also never got back to me, but the second time I called, the agent on the phone was extremely helpful and got a new power supply off at my expense very quickly. The device itself burns very fast, and is a great time saver. However we have found that a lot of the duplications end up with errors if you use the machine at max speed. We adjusted to speed to 4x write speed. It’s still fast, and now the DVDs seem to come out correct. Overall a great product for those in need of increasing efficiency of workflow and reducing time to delivery.

We have bought two DVD duplicators from Microboards. Never again! Oh, they work great for a few months and then slowly, one by one, the drives start failing, then the controller starts failing, then the firmware needs updating, and so Microboards sends out a firmware update, then a replacement drive, but then when the problems persist they want you to send the whole thing back. And then they fix it up and replace drives and send it back to you two weeks later and it works great for a few weeks and then one by one the drives start failing again…and the cycle goes on and on. So we decided to buy another duplicator from them so we would not be without a machine while the other one (which we thought was a lemon) was being serviced. Well, much to our frustration, the second duplicator started doing the same thing as the first (working great…then drives start failing…mail it in). We have sent our duplicators in four times in two years! So frustrating. Never again. We will never by another Microboards product ever. So I started talking to people this week, trying to figure out what other brand to go with, and everybody I talk to who uses other brands says, Oh we never have any problem with ours. Now, I’m not going to tell you what brands they are using. I do not want you to think I’m a salesman for another company. But I will give you this advice: Save yourself a major headache: avoid Microboards and go with another brand duplicator!
