Description
Produce fantastic prints with vivid colors and high sharpness with the matte surface of Entrada Rag Bright 300 from Moab. Machine-made from 100% cotton fiber, this double-sided paper offers superb ink handling and a traditional feel. It also incorporates some optical brightening agents to reach a brightness of 103% and a whiteness of 95%. Also, the 22.5-mil thick sheets are acid and lignin free as well as water resistant and calcium carbonate buffered in order to ensure true archival longevity.

This is my go-to double sided fine art paper. It isn’t quite my favorite matte fine art paper overall, I prefer a bit more texture in a textured paper, and a bit more smoothness, DMax and gamut in a smooth matte paper. (Not all 300gsm are created equally, sometimes you can feel the difference in their thickness). For photography – it is not bad, although for me photography should be printed on glossy paper – for sharpness and contrast. Matte paper gives photography dull edge, especially if it has even the slightest trace of texture on it. Perfect for me size – 5×7, in good quality papers it is hard to find. Overall perfect for me – for printing very colorful art in size 5×7. Of course I will buy again. I print 1 page at the time, but I do it with all papers.Very good value for the money.

I use Moab paper for just about everything and this 5×7 size is perfect for printing direct mail promos. The only downside I can see is that sometimes it’s difficult to load in my epson r2400. It takes some delicate coaxing to get the paper to take correctly every time.

Basically this has become my go-to matte printing paper for black and white fine art images. I’m currently printing my Paris portfolio on the 11×17 size. While I consider Epson’s Cotton Rag equally good, I don’t use an Epson printer (and so don’t have access to their icc’s, and I find it annoying that Epson doesn’t offer their icc’s for other printers–unlike EVERY other paper on the market!). Also, Epson keeps changing their paper line. I think Moab papers are excellent in general–less expensive than Hahnemuhle’s papers and very close in quality. With my black and white photography, it has a lovely surface, responds great to my Canon inkset (ProGraf Pro 1000 which I ALSO recommend highly, if you can live without roll paper), and feels like fine art. I recently bought the thinner, 4×6 version of this paper just to do proof prints to make fine adjustments, but for anything final I would recommend the 310 gsm version of this paper.

I love Moab papers, especially their rag papers. Entrada Rag Bright 300 is a heavy paper which feels natural and luxurious to the touch. Although it’s double-sided, I use it as a single-sided paper for fine art prints for exhibition or portfolio work, particularly for matte black and white prints. It’s the perfect combination of reasonable price and terrific quality. The tonal range is superb and I find that the D-max is better than most matte papers. It’s also more neutral-toned, which is what I want. If I want warm-toned prints, I’ll tone my prints! Strongly recommended. While Epson Cotton Rag papers (bright and natural) are also very high quality and almost indistinguishable from Moab’s, if you’re not printing with an Epson printer, you can’t get access to icc profiles for Epson papers. Moab is not just a great alternative, it’s the paper to use, whether you have an Epson printer or not.

Entrada has a high Dmax to produce rich black tones in black-and-white photographs. I am using it with an Epson P800 inkjet printer to print books (gsm 190 version) and calendars. While not as high a Dmax as Epson Velvia it does not require running it through the front loading tray.
