The BDR-XS07S 6x Portable USB 3.1 Gen 1 Blu-ray Burner with M-DISC Support from Pioneer can read and write a variety of disc media including CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays. Additionally, it supports M-DISC, which offers durable, long-term storage for archiving. Users who have a lot of data to store will also be able to use Blu-ray Triple Layer and Quadruple Layer discs. It has a max speed of 6x on Blu-ray media and features a slim, lightweight design.

We have a bunch of users who use their burner hours a day. They also have to plug and unplug their burners often to take their burners to a conference room to work. We have used a bunch of different burners and I have found that the slot feed reduces the stress created by a user opening a regular burner. Additionally, this burner has a USB-C connection in the back which means users are not bending the cable a lot when they through their burner in their laptop bag. One last advantage is by the connection on the back being a usb-c plug, we are able to buy usb-c to usb-c cables achieve better read speed when transferring large data from a disc to the computer.

This device looks like pug-n-play. Plays regular DVD without any software installation, but does not play Blu-Ray. I installed some free App, traying VLC and nothing. Pioneer and B&H not support or lock of acknowledge. I will return this item.
