i upgraded from galaxy s5,and tried an aftermarket case first. when the magnet proved to be too weak, i went with the samsung case. unfortunately it has the same problem, the magnet is not strong enough. the pen never stays in place and the whole tablet moves, which never happened once with the s5

I’m not usually a fan of book cover style cases but this one is very nice.

samsung covers are often underrated in terms of quality, durability, resistance to grime/fingerprints, and features like auto-on/off. but there are two shortcomings with this s7 book cover. first, although there is a secure magnetic compartment inside for the s-pen, it’s annoyingly in the way where your hand holds the s7 in portrait mode. you have to constantly be careful to avoid knocking the stylus out of its slot (nearly impossible) or else remove/relocate the stylus every time. the second shortcoming is lack of a third, steeper angle of about 30 degrees which would be ideal for artwork and writing with the stylus. the 65 and 50-degree angles are best suited for reading or viewing media.

i’ve just replaced my galaxy s with the new galaxy s7 and bought the cover as i did with my older tablet. this cover is nowhere near as durable as the old one just seems cheaper and flimsier.

the case is great if you are not doing much with your tablet. it is only attached by a magnetic strip to tuhe back of the tablet. don’t expect the tablet to stay connected if you fumble the lid. the tablet easily pops off and you have to test your reflexes to prevent a drop. on a recent flight the airline seats have changed to a little adjustable tablet/phone holder on the back of the seat instead of a screen built into the seat. the top holder held the cover, but was not long enough to hold the frame of the tablet. when the seat in front popped back from reclined to straight up, so too did the tablet pop off the cover, crashing down onto a metal seat support cracking the screen, denting the side of my month old tablet. flimsy & not secure!

It’s is a really nice cover, lovely materials and feel. There is just done side, the pen holder thing, shouldn’t be on the ‘spine’ but directly between the spine and tablet. This would stop me knocking the pen out and make the combination more solid. So please do and send me one 🙂

i love the idea of this cover, but my tablet constantly fell out of it due to it not having strong enough magnets. the final straw was this past weekend when i woke up after setting it on the nightstand that the screen had cracked. apparently, it gave no screen protection whatsoever. i even had a glass protector on top. i love my tablet and love the idea of this cover but this wasn’t good. new tablet, new case and protection was purchased this weekend.
