this monitor overall was not horrible, but has a few flaws that make it absolutely horrid for daily use. the monitor feels a bit rough, it doesn’t feel as crisp as my secondary monitor (also a samsung); i feel like i can see the pixels and it doesn’t feel like it has any anti-aliasing built in. not amazing in that regard. this monitor is advertised as having a 1ms response rate @144hz. definitely not. this monitor is plagued with so much smearing and blurring that i can barely use this without my eyes straining. definitely requires a somewhat sensitive eye to notice, but it’s by far a deal breaker for gaming, and even daily use. i can hardly watch youtube without noticing the smearing. giving it 2 stars because otherwise, it’s a half decent monitor. just not worth the price in any way.

the only downer i have on this monitor is the controls on the back. i have to stop to rest my arm trying to doing everything by touch.

i bought this thinking it would be a good all around monitor. the problem is, when my computer sleeps then wakes up, the *only* way to get the monitor to wake up is by either power cycling the monitor, or unplugging and re-plugging the cable. samsung support informs me the only way to address this is to set my computer to never sleep, which isn’t a workable solution for me. i’m returning my purchase.

issues found: 1. when connected to msi rx5500x dp port, it flickers constantly at random times. i had to turn it off and turn it back on to fix it. i have an old samsung monitor, it did not have that issue. 2. placement of the buttons are not very intuitive. you have to miss couple of times cause there is no indicator which ones you are pressing. not to mention the buttons are located at the back. weird. 3. switching between ports, specially when you have a pc and laptop connected to it is kind of hassle. like i said, the buttons are on the back, and you have to press couple of buttons before you can switch between dp and hdmi. 4. awful ghosting at 144hz. those are the reasons not to buy this monitor at all.
