i love the size and it seems to work flawlessly. the coloring does look washed out no matter what setting i’ve tried. but the price is one of the cheapest i’ve seen for a ultrawide.

Love the monitor. It’s ultrawide size allows me to see 3 full sized windows at once. This makes multitasking at work or while watching videos much easier. It looks beautiful on my desk, much clearner than if I had two monitors.

This monitor failed immediately. Working through the (long) process to get it replaced now, and this will likely be my last Samsung monitor purchase. Screen was OK, didn’t like the external power brick, and never really got to use it to test features.

fantastic once i got it set up. a challenge with getting the sound to go through the monitor’s sound port. problem wasn’t with the monitor but the output settings on the pc. samsung help solved the issue. about the monitor: fantastic picture, great size (and now that i’ve spent an hour with the little touch wheel on the back, lots of customization of picture.

I’m a programmer, and work back and forth between a lot of applications, so monitor real estate is very important to me. Previously I’ve used 2 27″ 4k monitors, but the new Samsung 34″ widescreen SJ55W really fits the bill. Initially I was hesitant the resolution (WQHD 3440×1440) would not compare to 4k (3840×2160), but my concerns were quickly put to rest. I was able to use 3 windows side by side comfortably, as well as a 2/3, 1/3 configuration for applications that could use more real estate. PBP (picture by picture) allows you to easily hook up a laptop to the monitor and to split the screen space with another source, providing a flexible option without having to resort to laptop docks/separate monitors. In addition to work, the SJ55W is also a great for video games. the 21:9 aspect ratio gives you a huge range of view on first person shooters. The colors are sharp and vibrant, and the black levels are really good. The 75hz refresh rate is an added bonus, usually not found at this price range. In summary, the Samsung SJ55W is a great monitor for both work and gaming. You may think you’re losing some pixels due to WQHD vs 4k, but you’re gaining a lot more in usable real estate. Pros – WQHD wide screen – Slim form factor – PBP and PIP – 75hz refresh rate Cons – No Thunderbolt support – VESA mounting holes are not centered, some people may have issues with existing mounting options

Wow, what a beautiful monitor. With the huge 3440×1440 resolution on a 34 inch screen, you can do it all with just one monitor. Having two applications running side by side with room to spare is quite an awesome experience on this one monitor. Plus you can include additional inputs from another PC, game system, or TV simultaneously with the Picture in Picture / Picture by Picture feature. This is a super sharp and bright monitor and I’m really enjoying it. I took the monitor through a spin on my YouTube review check it out. #SamsungMonitorExperience #SamsungUltraWideMonitor

Great for multi tasking. Fits 2 windows easily and many tabs on the browser or IDE. Though it’s very large and that’s a con as well as it’s not curved.

i used it with the xbox series x and ps5; i would suggest only using it for the series x as the ps5 only supports 1080p and 4k. good display if you are a player looking for accurate colors, ray tracing, or high quality gaming. for 120fps gaming, i would look elsewhere; however, keep in mind with 120fps gaming, you are sacrificing quality. samsung could have added hdr but chose not to.

This is a great monitor for a very cheap price. After getting this monitor for the work from home era/quarantine months, it has definitely made me 2x as productive as just a laptop screen. It is so easy to snap two screens to sides of the screen. I also love the PIP function. If i want to play PS4 on one side, and work on the other, I can. However, I’m not saying I play PS4 and work at the same time. Just in case someone from my job is reading this. The only con I have is text looks really grainy on this monitor when connected to my macbook pro. May just be a resolution thing. Also, it’s really annoying to change inputs. I wish there was an easier way.

From the moment I pulled it out of the box I knew it was something special about it Maybe it was just the insane size maybe it was the overall slim and simplistic look. All I knew at the time was I was excited to find out what this monitor was capable of. I got this monitor to replace 2 19″ monitors which crowded my desk and did not have a great visual appeal to them maybe that had to do with the fact that they were different brands. My job in finance means I need multiple monitors or so I thought. It’s not multiple monitors I need it’s one monitor that’s capable of multitasking. That monitor is the 34″ Samsung ultra-wide monitor. I am able to fit more on one screen than I ever was able to on 2 all in more clarity. Set up was simple 2 pieces to set up the stand and then connect the stand easily to the monitor itself locked into place via 1 screw. Then via 1 hdmi cable to my laptop and I was good to go. I can see entire spreadsheets with out the need to scroll left or right or up or down. I can also have email up too without the two programs interfering with each other. Going through the settings the monitor is capable of PIP which splits the screen into two so you would be the equivalent of having 2 15″ monitors. I tried to set this feature up but was unable to as you need to have 2 hdmi cables and inputs. And my laptop being a few years old only had one. I do plan on trying this out though perhaps connecting to be able to watch Netflix or or cable . Yes that is multitasking at its best! And this Samsung monitor definitely lives up to the hype. I recommend this monitor to anyone who needs to work with multiple programs at once. Or wants a cleaner set up than having to have a couple of bulky monitors on your desk.

So far, I am enjoying my new Samsung Ultra Wide monitor. For someone who currently has either a single or dual monitor setup this is the ideal solution. You are able to get more real estate, without the bevel that obstructs your view in the middle. The colors are excellent and you have the option to change the display to eye saver mode, which reduces the blues and helps eliminate eye strain when spending a lot of time in front of the monitor. Playing games with this monitor has been a nice improvement. Previously, I had a 3 monitor setup, where many games would only display on the center monitor, eliminating the other 2 in the process. The rich colors and response times were outstanding with significantly better contrast (3000:1) to my previous setup. I also found multitasking improved. Using the windows key to easily snap windows to the left and right sides of the screen made it easy to have 2 windows, fully expanded on the left and right of the screen. Resizing those windows was also easy, enabling me to have one application take up 2/3 of the screen while the other application took up the remaining 1/3rd of the screen. The P-in-P feature was nice too. I have a desktop which is my primary machine, and a laptop for work. The laptop is on a docking station, and I can now hook it up to the same monitor and use the picture in picture feature to see both. Overall, this was a nice improvement to what I was using. It has cleaned up the look of my desk, while still giving me plenty of desktop space to work, and play, with the size of this setup.

Sharp screen. Decent brightness. Really no issues other than screen tearing in high end games. 75hz refresh rate is a bit low. But other than that this is great for productivity. I use it for coding along with another monitor setup vertically for the best of both worlds.

I could only obtain low font resolution with my 2019 MacBook Pro. I tried every possible cable combination and with multiple quality cables. I returned it ultimately.

Our work had a recent clamoring for a two monitor setup. After doing some research, this fits the bill to satisfy the desire to have two different screens on one computer using the PBP feature and a USB to 4k HDMI dual output adapter. It’s the right size for desk real estate, while providing ample desktop area. Since there’s no break or bevels between monitors, there’s a smooth use if you want to have one window spread across the PBP. Hardly noticed unless you’re paying specific attention to it. No, it’s not a gamer’s high refresh/Hz monitor, nor an artist’s super exact color monitor, but for everyday use, the screen is large and sharp.

My new Samsung screen monitor has been a game changer. Not only for my work productivity but also for my eyesight. Everything is ready to go,right out of the box. I went from having two monitors to One, and I don’t miss a thing. I work with different databases and the screen split option is perfect and functional. I can also view more of the documents I’m working on without zooming in and out. The design Of the monitor is nice and sleek. The stand doesn’t take up a whole lot of space on my desk and I’m so grateful I no longer have a bunch of ugly cables draping across my desk. The monitors menu (JOG button) is easy to navigate, easy to reach and is also where you’ll find the eye saver settings which I highly recommend. Low blue light settings means no more ugly blue blocking glasses & No more daily headaches after working on my computer for several hours. Everyone who has walked into my office compliments the beauty and spectacular screen display this monitor gives. Highly recommend. see the before and after below

I use this monitor to learn coding. It allows me to open several tabs side by side. It works much better than 2x 24″ screens that I use at work. This is the best budget wide monitor I’ve found after weeks of research. No other monitor comes close to it’s cost- performance ratio.

A bright and wide monitor that lacks a few basics and is unreliable when you need it most. It checks the main boxes I need in a WQHD, but lacks inbuilt speakers. Multi input (2x hdmi+DP) split screen mode are a god-send. Besides the speaker issue, the screen tends to hibernate for long periods when an input device is shut down, sleeps or removed. Repeatedly moving the joy stick does nothing to wake the screen, even though the input device is awake. Besides this annoying quirk and lack of speakers, it’s a decently good setup.
