I purchased this hoping to get a good ol’ MagSafe-style charging cable for my 16 MacBook Pro. Technically, it works, however the magnets are just nowhere near as strong. It’s like if you just look at it wrong, it disconnects. With just the tiniest pull, the cable is on the floor and the computer is no longer charging. It’s even possible for it to still be magnetically attached but disconnected from the computer which means I’m constantly checking it even when it’s plugged in. This may be useful for some other device, but it’s definitely not a good power cable on the MacBook Pro.
