The Tournez C-Clamp Mount With MagConnect for iPad 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Generation from The Joy Factory is a great way to attach a tablet to a round surface. The single carbon fiber arm of the C-Clamp mount mounts your tablet securely while keeping it nearby. This particular mount is ideal for warehouse shelving, corporate reception areas, workspaces, and creative organizations.
The Tournez C-Clamp mount also allows you to attach your iPad to a mic stand or camera tripod. While keeping your microphone or camera attached, the C-Clamp attaches to the side of the stand so that you can conveniently add a tablet to your existing setup. Musicians can read chord charts, use live effects processing, or record directly to the tablet seamlessly. This is also ideal for photo/video artists who want to use their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Generation iPad as a large viewfinder or for quick edits on-the-go.
The arms of the mount are made from carbon fiber, making them surprisingly lightweight yet incredibly strong. The carbon fiber and carefully designed joints make the mount both easy to maneuver and sturdy to use.
The mount has spherical joints so you can customize it to your needs. Also included is a MagConnect iPad holder, which can be swiveled 360 degrees. This allows you to easily switch the tablet from portrait to landscape mode without taking it out of the mount. The arms can be adjusted into infinite configurations, letting you achieve the perfect angle.
The MagConnect locking mechanism is advanced, but using it is quite simple. First, your iPad is secured into a hard-shell case equipped with a powerful magnet. And when your iPad is not mounted, you can carry it around without worry of damage. The case is designed to work seamlessly with the Apple Smart Cover, or you can use it with Joy Factory’s Folio360 III case.

I really like this system. I am a drummer and i use the system to mount my Ipad to the drum rack system. The clamp fits great on any round pole or round rack part. I attach my Ipad to the mount and it is very secure. If you buy the 360 portfollio the mag mount connects to it also and it is then safe for travel in our road cases. It also fits nicely on the edge of a flat table. The bracket that the Ipad attaches to comes with the 306 Portfollio so all you need to do is buy the mounting system without the ipad bracket and away you go. I am going to buy several mounts, one for my car and one for my desk so all I have to do is move the Ipad between the mounts. Great System

Once I learned how to set this up, I found it to be just about perfect. And a quick call to the info number was all it took. The iPad snaps right into the durable plastic case, while still revealing all the controls and inputs. It works even with the magnetic cover that I bought with the ipad, in place. I was glad I had not purchased the full case which I would have had to remove. At first I thought it might have too short an arm, but now having used it at a gig, I see it works flawlessly. What a great design! It is a little tricky to snap the iPad out, but that’s far better than having something the iPad could slip out from. I use this to mount my iPad to my tripod. I have a wireless tether connection, and the magnet/screw mount works well for detaching the iPad to carry it away from the camera setup. The two main cons for this product are the iPad case and the c-clamp. The case has a magnet on the back, which works great on the mount but is a hassle if you leave it on the iPad for general use, since it doesn’t sit flush on a flat surface. And I haven’t quite figured out how much pressure I can use on the c-clamp. I don’t want to crush the leg of the tripod by tightening too much, but a couple of times the mount slid out of position because it wasn’t tight enough. It’s difficult to gauge the correct pressure.
