In addition to Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, this fully managed switch offers SFP connectivity for uplinks of up to 1 Gb/s for ultra-fast connections to other switches or network attached storage devices. This UniFi switch also features a 26 Gb/s non-blocking throughput, 52 Gb/s switching capacity, and a forwarding rate of 38.69 Mpps to ensure connected devices have the necessary bandwidth and network performance to operate smoothly. Installation of the US-24 switch has also been simplified thanks to the rackmount design making it easy to integrate this switch into an existing device rack or cabinet.

I have used Ubiquiti Access Points in several of my clients and the quality of their products is superior to the others that I have used. But the only way to get into this switch to monitor the network is by using their software that resides on a computer in the network. I had multiple problems getting their software installed and on one occasion was not successful. And after installing the software, the reporting of activity was very minimal. Not at all what I was expecting. Will probably be purchasing a different managed switch for any future clients.

Key takeaway: this (Ubiquiti US-24) is a time sink – wasted HOURS on Tech Chat Support to no avail. Worst part is Chat Support takes a VERY long time to connect and then for the experts drop the chat sending you back to the bottom of the queue to start this frustrating process all over again. POOR Customer Service making me think I’m not the only one experiencing issues if it takes that long to reach someone. The problem I was trying to solve? Getting the Ubiquiti Controller to recognize (find) the US-24 port switch. Should be automatic, right? Apparently not. Even when controller directly connected to the switch. First time connected with Chat spent 30 minutes updating firmware. An hour later, nope, that didn’t work. Next 3-4 times started all over and made no progress, disabling all firewalls, virus security, etc. Very painful and 8+ hours I’ll never get back. I have a very simple home network with Google Mesh WiFi router. This switch should be a slam dunk for it to recognize, but apparently it’s not. Good luck if you can make it work. This one is going back…
