   The Western Digital Black P50 is one of the fastest external USB game drives on the market today. At 20gbps for games like Grand Theft Auto and Call of Duty it’s perfect. It works on XBox One and PS4, PS5 and computers. We all hate how long those games take and how much internal storage they use. Having them on the external drive saves space on our systems and makes it very easy to use them on another system. For the price point this is one of the best drives available on the market today.

   I am not sure why it is so hard to find the TBW spec for P50 4TB SSD. Is there something to hide 9or couldn’t be disclosed? If anyone knows what that is please leave a comment. Thank you.

   I love the design and how slim this drive is. However, I keep having issues with it. It constantly has to be unplugged and then plugged back in to access files. You won’t know there is an issue until you go to open a file sometimes. I had two wait over three weeks to get a replacement when I RMA’d my first one, and I still get problems with the replacement. I suggest looking into out SSDs.

   This drive barely takes up any space in my bag and transferring files is a breeze. However, I have had issues with the first one I got where any of my computers couldn’t detect it. After tons of troubleshooting, I contacted WD. It took them a week to respond to me to approve my RMA. I sent in the drive, then over a month later, I finally got a new drive. I contacted support multi times during that month and no one could give me an answer as to why this happened. I was without an external drive which I used for work, for 4 weeks. This was not okay. The new drive is working better however it does sometimes make the computer it’s connected lose access, only way to fix it is to unplug it and then plug it back in. I wouldn’t recommend this drive even though it works great when it does work. However, a product that cost me $200 shouldn’t have any of these issues (on two separate drives)

   Purchased this looking for an SSD for my M1 Pro. I get 230 MB/s write and 500 MB/s read, and I’ve swapped every cable and tried every port. Tried two different models, same problems. incredibly frustrating.
