This trackball is just the right size, and the 2 buttons are all I need. As a woman, I was specifically looking for a small sized trackball, and this is the one for me. Totally manageable and easy to integrate into your editing workflow, all you ladies looking for a trackball mouse? Get this one, hands down (no pun intended).

It’s small enough for a travelling track ball but sturdy enough (will not move) so that it stays in place.

A word on trackballs vs mice : mice are easier , more prevalent and far more popular…much in the way that blasters are easier , more prevalent and far more popular than light sabers yes geeks I’m talking to you ! – but any geek knows that the light saber , whilst being far more difficult and esoteric to master – is by far the more effective , desirable and at day’s end elegant weapon and the one that captures the imagination like no other. IMO – anyone that hasn’t given the trackball it’s fair chance and taken the extra time and effort required to master it is simply losing out on the overall computering experience. The trackball has a fluidity , a speed and grace , an accuracy that once mastered , make the mouse look like , well , a crude blaster. did I mention that’s it’s also incredibly FUN ? Are there people out there who are simply amazing with a mouse ? Sure. I’ll take the trackball any day Younglings – don’t take my word – try one for yourselves and let The Force be the judge. LOL

Love this track ball and the scroll ring, had become second nature and when, after 11 years, it started malfunctioning I ordered it again. Even better this time. Track balls make navigating around large screens quicker and faster, and you can work on a messy desk!

Have used the old Kensington Orbit for years and got tired of cleaning the contacts every other week. This update (optical) seems to have alleviated that problem. Highly recommended!

I use a trackball instead of a mouse whenever possible because I have carpal tunnel syndrome. I bought this to replace a previous Kensington trackball (different model) that lasted about two years. This one, however, lost the left-click function after about ten months. Not good enough.

This is a great alternative to a mouse. I use it for 3D Cad programs and really everything. I can whip around the screen much better with this trackball. I highly recommend it!

I like the big ball, I like the scroll ring Fits my hand, buttons in just the right position. My old one finally wore out after a few years.

Compared to the mouse, this trackball takes some getting used to, though I’m finding the scroll ring, ball and left button intuitive, and will learn to use the right button with time. I am glad that I also ordered the mouse pad with gel wrist rest; much more comfortable than the extended tailpiece.

I haven’t used a trackball in years, and have been looking for a good one. For the price this one is great! If you want the centered ball I would highly recommend this one. Of course if you want to spend more for a Kensington, well I am sure that is a good one too. But pound for pound this one will do the job for you.

I’ve got four of these things. They sit in one spot and take up no desk space. Forefinger moves the ball, thumb and middle finger do the clicks. I can’t imagine why anyone uses the desk hogging mouse. This particular product has a free ball, so be cautious while moving it from place to place as you might with a lap top. Comfortable fit for the hand. On one, the pointer will take a jump from time to time. On another, I had to replace the left click switch with one rescued from an old mouse. So it appears as if the durability is in question. On the other hand, I’d buy a fifth if I had another computer.

I absolutely love it until trying to click on a small item…may be just me though.

I’ve always used a trackball over a mouse. No need for extensive desk real estate. This is my second Orbit, one on home desktop and one on work desktop, both of which replaced Logitech Trackman trackballs. The Logitech was good but no scroll ring. I also have two Kensington Expert Mouse trackballs on editing machines. These are the best but a little pricey. The Kensington Trackball Works software also makes it easy to customize your user preferences and responsiveness.

I am really enjoying this mouse. I am finding that the right and left click buttons fit my smallish hands. I also find the scroll ring easy to use. I am right handed, but use my mouse with my left hand so I can still write notes while mousing, but I can switch to the right if I need to. Great mouse, I would buy another and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

I love this mouse. It’s wireless, the trackball is located in the middle so you use your forefinger, not your thumb, to navigate, and best of all, if it’s dropped or falls off the surface it’s on, the trackball doesn’t come out! I have spent too much time searching for stray trackballs. Buy it now!

As far as cheap trackballs go, this one is the best. I’ve had 2 of them at 2 different jobs & both have lasted forever.
