This has the Intel I225-LM chipset which has broken drivers in all but the newest linux kernels. This means that it will not work on a DIY nas that is running most linux based operating systems. On windows it works great.

This card is neither 2.5Gbe nor is it based on the intel I225 chipset. When I plugged it and checked the driver details I found out it is based in the intel I217 chipset which is a 1Gb speed according to intel’s website.

Little upgrade for my QNAP NAS, zero issues during install, just powered on, configured it and it’s been working perfectly ever since!
