I used this to house the 2.5 hard disk from a dead MacBook laptop. After removing the mounting hardware from the drive it fit this enclosure. Although the older Mac Mini I’m using has no USB 3.0 ports, the enclosure is backwards compatible with the older USB ports. The MacBook drive works well as an external drive.
