After Ubiquiti support worked on web controller, best this UAP could do was 780 mbps when less than 10 feet, then 200 mbps at 20-30 feet, and intermittent at 50 feet. This compares to my Linksys EA6700 in bridge mode transmitting at 890 mbps up to 20 feet way, and 200 at about 100 feet away. No, don’t buy this ap, it’s asdisappointing as Cisco 371 and 560 APs.

I lost my 3 year old Unifi AP Pro to a lightning strike and I was pleased to find out that a faster, cheaper replacement was available. I hooked it into my network, uploaded my backup config from my AP Pro, and presto, I was off and running again. But with better throughput and range. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

The management interface is pretty nice and overall it works well. I bought it for the VLAN support. I have been a bit disappointed in the range, though it’s not surprising due to the lack of external antennas.

I have several of these access points deployed and love how easy they are to set up and manage in the Unifi Controller. There are several mounting options and they have a nice, sleek appearance anywhere they are mounted!

I have been using them for a few years now and can’t say enough. I have a couple of these pro access points, a few of the HD ones, the pro gateway and 48 port switch. All rock solid products.

I purchased this AP to replace a Linksys EA6900 router that I had setup as an AP. I am VERY satisfied. The setup did require me to contact tech support which was also very helpful. It was only a minor issue but if you are not familiar with networking, don’t hesitate to contact them. The AP provides very good range and led signals to help indicate the status. I have set this AP up in my attic and also utilized the USB port on the AP to install an AC Infinity USB fan since it is in the attic. The AP is very light and small in terms of size. The Unif Controller is very helpful in managing the AP but remember, it cannot be managed remotely. You must connect your laptop to the router or switch in order to manage the AP. The controller provides many tools to help your identify which AP is being widely used and which devices are connected to which AP. I slowly converted out of Linksys Routers that I had set up as APs. Although my routing is being done by a Linksys WRT1900 ACS which is a great combo! Overall, the AP is very reliable and provides great range. The current price is perfect and you should definitely consider implementing one into your network!

I am adding 3 Ubiquiti UAP-AC-PRO UniFi Access Points to an existing system. The system is running great, with an Ubiquity Router, 8 port PoE Switch, and Cloud Key Gen2. I am very happy, as is the client with the Ubiquiti Hardware and my install.

Software took a bit to work through, but once I figured it out, this is a solid performer.

I got two of these for my condo. I had endless problems with WiFi saturation and coverage in a 1200 sq ft area. I connected two of these to a Ubiquity router and there is full signal strength in the entire house and floods WiFi into the Patio, the side Pool, and into the parking area for my cars. These things have been UP and ONLINE for a year with NO ISSUES with connectivity. The only thing DOWN is my Brighthouse service but the LAN and Internet access with these are ROCK SOLID. DO NOT waste your time with other brands this works.

We have deployed UniFi across 11 sites so far. The first site we installed has some UAP-Pro units that are hit hard all day long, 5 days a week. We decided after about 2 years use, we would upgrade to the new AC units. The 2 year old UAP-Pro’s are still functioning 100%, they are just being replaced due to upgrades. At this point we have 62 UniFi APs and I will be going onsite in about 2 weeks to install 6 more at a new location. UniFi doesn’t fit the build for everybody with specific requirements, but it does deliver exceptional wireless service at a disruptive price point. I feel these CAN work for about 90% use cases. It just takes time to design and plan your site accordingly.

I have 2 of these for my house, a little overkill but 🙂 they are great, I installed the controller on my Mac Mini (used as a home media server) plugged them into my POE switch, they were seen by the controller, I adopted them, told me there was an update for them, I created the WIFI network I wanted and there you go. Been using them for about a week with our phones, laptops and smart TV streaming netflix, not had a single issue, looking at the stats devices seem to be handing off between units without issue (phones and laptops as we move about the house). There are a ton of more advanced features that I am not using yet, but may get to

I’ve installed 5 of these for different customers so far and they are always blown away by how much better their wireless is, both in coverage and throughput. Most clients have a 240/12 mbps internet connection, and when in the same room customers can easily get that over WiFi.

This is the 4th UAP-AC-PRO I have purchased and installed in my home network and its working just as well as the other 3. UniFi network solutions are simple and easy to setup, even with little to no experience, but also offer enterprise level functionality and features.
